About me

I initially completed an engineering apprenticeship as a toolmaker, which instilled the need for high precision and accuracy. The product, however, did not fulfil my creative energies.

It was then that I joined a family-run cabinet making and antique restoration business. Here I received a grounding in classical furniture construction and a personal appreciation for form and proportion: the age-old rules that make furniture and architectural joinery look ‘correct’ and pleasing to the eye.

I am  now a master craftsman and have run a personal and bespoke furniture and cabinet making business for close to thirty years. Experienced in using many hard and soft woods, I create custom designed and individual woodwork to satisfy any client’s requirements. English oak or European oak are the most popular, but I am happy to work with any timber suitable for its intended use.

Rest assured knowing that only timber from ecologically sustainable sources is used, and that I will advise on the best timber for the project.

A quality handmade service for:

  • Wooden furniture

  • But anything you desire to build is possible…

To fully understand your requirements I will arrange a design visit, complete with a selection of timber and finish samples and portfolio of similar work. From this initial meeting, you will be provided with drawings and a fixed price quotation.
